The system of Clear Aligners
Invisalign is a clear–aligner treatment, which involves a far different mechanics comparing to the traditional dental braces. Our experts orthodontists complete a written evaluation that involves diagnosis and treatment plan, according to which the number and sequence of aligners are intended to be worn an optimal 22 hours a day. Aligners are fabricated over the course of treatment, to continually move the teeth to a desired position and are usually designed for every week of treatment. Orthodontist tend to give patients few sets of aligners (top and bottom) during checkup visits. Following orthodontist’s instructions, patients need to apply different sets of aligners given to them during checkup visits, usually a new set of aligners every week.
Invisalign is not something new in our Clinic, we are practising it successfully for the third (3) year, in year 2018 our Orthodontist Katja Arko Kampuš attained the Certificate “Master in Invisalign Technique”.
Invisible, removable and non-irritating
Aligners are practically invisible, removable and non-irritating. Checkup visits tend to be made every 2 moths, or more often. Orthodontist moves the teeth to the desired location with special computer program, which creates the stages between the current and desired teeth positions.
Dental impressions are scanned with special Intraoral Scanner iTero, in order to create a digital 3D representation of the teeth, so patients can picture the results of the treatment even before the actual treatment starts. Invisalign treatment is optimal and planned, that’s why in most cases it’s painless, faster and better. Invisalign is suitable for children, adolescents and adult patients.
Don’t let orthodontic treatment interfere with your activities. Also Maja Zupan, Miss Slovenia of 2017 uses Invisalign braces.
